练好英语口语的6大规则
1.不要学习语法
1. Don't study grammar

这条规则对于很多中国学生来说，听起来可能很奇怪，但这是最重要规则之一。如果你想要通过考试的话，那就学习语法吧。然而，如果你想要流利地讲英语，那么，你就应该尝试着学习英语的时候，而不去学习语法。

This rule might sound strange to many Chinese students, but it is one of the most important rules. If you want to pass examinations, then study grammar. However, if you want to become fluent in English, then you should try to learn English without studying the grammar.

学习语法只会让你减慢学习的步伐，同时让你感到困惑。当你想说句子的时候，你将会总是考虑这些规则，而不会像本土人士一样那样自然地说出一个句子。你要记住，只有一小部分以英语为母语的人士，才知道超过20%的语法规则。很多中国学生知道的语法规则比本土人士都多。我是因为经验使然，所以，才自信地侃侃而谈。我是一个英语国家的本土人士，专业是英语文学，已经持续教英语超过十年了。然而，我的很多学生知道的英语语法细节比我还要多。我能够轻松地查找出这些语法的含义，并运用它，但是，我根本无法在当时立刻想出这些语法的用途。

Studying grammar will only slow you down and confuse you. You will think about the rules when creating sentences instead of naturally saying a sentence like a native. Remember that only a small fraction of English speakers know more than 20% of all the grammar rules. Many Chinese students know more grammar rules than native speakers. I can confidently say this with experience. I am a native English speaker, majored in English Literature, and have been teaching English for more than 10 years. However, many of my students know more details about English grammar than I do. I can easily look up the definition and apply it, but I don't know it off the top of my head.

我经常问我的本土朋友一些语法问题，可是只有很少一部分人才知道正确答案。然而，他们可以流利的讲英语，同时能够读，说，听，还能有效地沟通。你是想具有背诵使役动词含义的能力呢？还是想具有说出一口流利英语的能力呢？
I often ask my native English friends some grammar questions, and only a few of them know the correct answer. However, they are fluent in English and can read, speak, listen, and communicate effectively. Do you want to be able to recite the definition of a causative verb, or do you want to be able to speak English fluently?

2.熟悉和学习一些短语

2. Learn and study phrases

很多学生学习单词之后，就尝试着把很多单词组合到一起去编造一个恰当的句子。让我惊讶的是，我的一些学生竟然可以掌握那么多词汇，但他们却不能编造出一个恰当的句子。原因就是他们没有掌握短语。当孩子们学习一门语言的时候，他们会把词组和短语一并掌握。同样，你也需要学习和熟悉短语的用法。

Many students learn vocabulary and try to put many words together to create a proper sentence. It amazes me how many words some of my students know, but they cannot create a proper sentence. The reason is because they didn't study phrases. When children learn a language, they learn both words and phrases together. Likewise, you need to study and learn phrases.

如果你有1000个单词，你也许不能够说出一句正确的句子。但是，如果你知道一个短语，你可以编造出数以百计的正确句子。如果你掌握了100个短语，你会为了你能说出那么多的正确句子而感到惊讶。最终，当你仅仅能掌握1000个短语的时候，你几乎可以像一个本土人士一样流利地讲英语。
If you know 1000 words, you might not be able to say one correct sentence. But if you know 1 phrase, you can make hundreds of correct sentences. If you know 100 phrases, you will be surprised at how many correct sentences you will be able to say. Finally, when you know only a 1000 phrases, you will be almost a fluent English speaker.

所以，不要花费那么多的时间去学习不同的词汇。取而代之的是，用那些时间去学习短语，那么你离一口流利的英语就很近了。
So don't spend hours and hours learning many different words. Use that time to study phrases instead and you will be closer to English fluency.

3.不要翻译

3.Don't translate

当你想编造出一个英语句子的时候，不要把那些单词翻译成你的母语。单词的顺序可能会截然不同，同时，通过这样做，你可能会很慢或者不正确。反而，当你学习了短语和句子之后，你就不需要去考虑你所想说的话。你可以不假思索的脱口而出。翻译所造成的另一个问题就是你将会总是尝试着组合那些你所掌握的语法规则。翻译和考虑这些语法规则，然后去编造一个英语句子是不正确的，应该避免这么做。

When you want to create an English sentence, do not translate the words from your Mother tongue. The order of words is probably completely different and you will be both slow and incorrect by doing this. Instead, learn phrases and sentences so you don't have to think about the words you are saying. It should be automatic. Another problem with translating is that you will be trying to incorporate grammar rules that you have learned. Translating and thinking about the grammar rules to create English sentences is incorrect and should be avoided.

4.读和听还不够。无论你听到什么都要练习说。

4. Reading and Listening is not enough. Practice speaking what you hear!

读，听，和说是学习任何语言中最重要的部分。对英语来说也是相同的。然而，想练就一口流利的英语，说是一个最重要的必要条件。正常情况下，对于婴儿和孩子们都是开始学会说，慢慢变得流利，然后开始学会读，之后开始学会写。所以，正常的学习语言的顺序是听，说，读，然后是写。

Reading, listening, and speaking are the most important aspects of any language. The same is true for English. However, speaking is the only requirement to be fluent. It is normal for babies and children to learn speaking first, become fluent, then start reading, then writing. So the natural order is listening, speaking, reading, then writing.

第一个问题

First Problem

贯穿全球的学校都是先开始教阅读，然后写作，之后才是听力，最后才是口语，这是不是很怪异呢？尽管是不尽相同的，但是，主要的原因就是当你学习第二门外语的时候，你需要阅读资料去理解，然后掌握。所以，即使正常的顺序是听，说，读，然后写。但是对于大多数的学生的学习顺序还是读，听，说，然后写。
Isn't it strange that schools across the world teach reading first, then writing, then listening, and finally speaking? Although it is different, the main reason is because when you learn a second language, you need to read material to understand and learn it. So even though the natural order is listening, speaking, reading, then writing, the order for most students is reading, listening, speaking, then writing.

很多人能够读和听的原因就是因为他们不断的训练阅读和听力。但是为了流利地讲英语，你需要锻炼说的能力。不要在听力部分停止不前，当你学习听力的时候，不要仅仅是听而已，要将你听到的资料大声说出来，同时操练你所听到的东西。不断地大声操练你所听到的东西，直到你的嘴和大脑不费任何力气就可以做到。通过这样的训练，你将会具有讲出一口流利英语的能力了。

The reason many people can read and listen is because that's all they practice. But in order to speak English fluently, you need to practice speaking. Don't stop at the listening portion, and when you study, don't just listen. Speak out loud the material you are listening to and practice what you hear. Practice speaking out loud until your mouth and brain can do it without any effort. By doing so, you will be able to speak English fluently.

5.全身心的投入
5. Submerge yourself

能够讲出一口流利的英语和你多聪明没有直接的关系。任何人都可以学习去说出任何语言。这是一个被世人都证明的事实。任何人至少都可以说出一门语言。无论你是聪明或是智商不高，你都能讲出一门语言。
Being able to speak a language is not related to how smart you are. Anyone can learn how to speak any language. This is a proven fact by everyone in the world. Everyone can speak at least one language. Whether you are intelligent, or lacking some brain power, you are able to speak one language.

这是由于你在那种语言环境的周围呆久了，自然就做到了。在你的国家，你经常听和说你的语言。你将会发现那些英语很流利的人都是在英语口语学校学习的人。他们能说流利的英语并不是因为他们参加了英语口语学校，而是因为他们处在一个始终用英语来交流的人群环境中。
This was achieved by being around that language at all times. In your country, you hear and speak your language constantly. You will notice that many people who are good English speakers are the ones who studied in an English speaking school. They can speak English not because they went to an English speaking school, but because they had an environment where they can be around English speaking people constantly.

有一些人在国外学习，却学习到非常少的东西。那是因为他们去英语口语学校，却碰到来自于本国的朋友，而没有用英语去沟通。
There are also some people who study abroad and learn very little. That is because they went to an English speaking school, but found friends from their own country and didn't practice English.

为了能够讲出一口流利的英语，你不需要去任何地方。你只需要让你自己被英语包围。你可以和你的朋友约法三章，你们只许讲英语。你可以随身携带一个Ipod，然后随时持续地听英语句子。正如你如上所看到的，你可以通过改变你的环境而达到你的目的。把你自己侵入到英语中，你将会事半功倍。
You don't have to go anywhere to become a fluent English speaker. You only need to surround yourself with English. You can do this by making rules with your friends that you will only speak English. You can also carry around an iPod and constantly listen to English sentences. As you can see, you can achieve results by changing what your surroundings are. Submerge yourself in English and you will learn several times faster.

6.学习正确的资料
6. Study correct material

一个很常见的短语“操练塑造完美”，这是不正确的。这和事实差得很远。如果你操练错误的句子，你只会让你更加熟练地说着错误的句子。因此，你学习被大多数人所采用的资料是十分重要的。
A common phrase that is incorrect is, "Practice makes perfect." This is far from the truth. If you practice the incorrect sentence, you will have perfected saying the sentence incorrectly. Therefore, it is important that you study material that is commonly used by most people.

另一个问题是我看到很多学生在学习新闻。然而，他们说的语言太正式，而他们使用的内容大多数是政治方面的，在日常生活中不会用到。理解新闻中的内容是很重要的，但是，这些是高级课程，应该在你打好英语基础之后再开始学习。
Another problem I see is that many students study the news. However, the language they speak is more formal and the content they use is more political and not used in regular life. It is important to understand what they are saying, but this is more of an advanced lesson that should be studied after learning the fundamental basics of English.

和一个不是英语为母语的人士学习英语既是优势又是劣势。你应该意识到和一个不是以英语为母语的人士说英语的正面作用和负面作用。和一个非英语为母语的人士练习说英语，是可以让你练习口语。你们也能互相激励，同时也能指出基本的错误。但是如果你不确定哪些句子是正确或者不正确的，你也可能会从他们那里很自然学会一些错误的习惯。
Studying English with a friend who is not a native English speaker is both good and bad. You should be aware of the pro's and con's of speaking with a non native speaking friend. Practicing with a non native person will give you practice. You can also motivate each other and point out basic mistakes. But you might pick up bad habits from one another if you are not sure about what are correct and incorrect sentences. So use these practice times as a time period to practice the correct material you studied. Not to learn how to say a sentence.

简而言之，学习你所能信赖的，常用的，同时也是正确的资料。
In short, study English material that you can trust, that is commonly used, and that is correct.

听说读写。感觉来感觉去，口语是英语的最后一个境界。
